DocSimple is operated by Bhairav Bhavsar ("we", "us", "our"). This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use docsimple.io.

When you use DocSimple we collect:

• Account information: name, email address, and password when you create an account.
• Documents you upload: we process documents you upload solely to provide the DocSimple service to you.
• Usage data: how you interact with the product including pages visited and features used.
• Payment information: processed securely by Stripe. We never store your card details.

We use your information to:

• Provide and improve DocSimple
• Process your payments
• Send product updates you request
• Respond to your support requests

We do not sell your personal information, share your documents with third parties, use your documents to train AI models, or share your data with advertisers.

This is the most important section for users uploading sensitive documents.

Documents you upload are processed by AI to generate explanations, stored securely and encrypted at rest, never shared with any third party, never used to train AI models, and deleted upon your request.

We use industry standard encryption for all document storage and transmission.

Documents may be processed by our AI provider APIs. Our agreements with these providers prohibit them from using your data for model training.

Do not upload documents containing Social Security numbers, bank account or credit card numbers, or passwords or security credentials. If such information appears in a document, redact it before uploading.

Documents are retained for as long as your account is active. You may delete any document at any time from your dashboard. Upon account deletion all your documents and data are permanently deleted within 30 days.

We do not sell your information. We share data only with:

• Stripe for payment processing
• AI providers for document analysis
• Cloud infrastructure providers for secure hosting and storage
• Legal requirements, if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data
• Correct inaccurate data
• Delete your account and data
• Export your data
• Opt out of marketing emails

We use essential cookies only. These are required for the product to function and cannot be disabled. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

DocSimple is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

We will notify you of material changes by email or prominent notice on the site. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
